Ray Wilde

Ray is originally from Birmingham, leaving school with ‘O’level music and drama.

With an interest in stage lighting, sound and backstage management, he learnt his trade working with touring bands and shows.
He did a stint in Blackpool as an entertainment manager for a family theme park and also got a job on stage as a comedy DUO, The Wilde Brothers, and played for two years in Portugal.

In 2000, Ray moved to Tenerife working as a compere/host for some big cabaret bars including The Full Monty On The Patch, Olde Ocean Fanabe, Oscars, Volares, and more recently ST Eugens in San Eugenio.

He was nominated for Tenerife Entertainment awards, achieving the title in 2016.

With 12 years also working on different English speaking Radio stations, he continued as an established Entertainer.

Today you can find him running the entertainment for two Irish bars in Golf Del Sur, Wild Geese and Grandee O’Donnells.  His Sunday Session is extremely popular with locals and holidaymakers at the Irish Oak on Sunday afternoons.

Monday to Friday, you can hear Ray across the Canary Islands on Coast FM radio with Rays Bit In The Middle 10am till 1pm.
